Professor Barbra Mapuranga (DPhil) (TOPAZ BRAND AMBASSADOR)
Prof. Barbra Mapuranga is a distinguished academic and a dedicated servant of Jesus, with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and community engagement. With a strong background in Special Needs and Inclusive Education, she has made remarkable contributions to higher education and faith-based learning. She is a Lecturer and Acting Dean of Teaching and Learning at Ba Isago University.
Beyond academia, Prof. Mapuranga has been deeply involved in church ministry for many years, particularly in the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM). She has served on the AFM Educational Board of Trustees, playing a crucial role in shaping faith-based educational policies and advancing Christian education. Her passion for nurturing young minds is also evident in her extensive service in the Sunday School Department, where she has held leadership positions from the local to the national level, mentoring both children and teachers in biblical teachings and Christian values.
In addition to her academic and ministry work, Prof. Mapuranga holds an Advanced Pastoral Certificate from TOPAZ and serves as a brand ambassador for the institution. Her commitment to faith-based leadership and education aligns with TOPAZ’s mission, making her a key advocate for spiritual and academic excellence.
With her wealth of experience in both education and ministry, Prof. Mapuranga continues to bridge the gap between faith and learning, ensuring that education and spirituality work together in shaping holistic individuals. Bishop Chiviru is married to Benhilda Chiviru with five Children and 7 grandchildren. Bishop Chiviru is the Bishop of Mashonaland Central Diocese in the Anointed Reformists Church of Zimbabwe. A Presiding Priest and Rector of St. Columbus Parish in KUWADZANA East. A marriage Officer and Family Counsellor. TOPAZ Board of Trustees member and Secretary of TOPAZ Board of Trustees. A TOPAZ Training Programme Facilitator. Zimbabwe NSSA National Pension Forum Trust Board of Trustees member, Chairman of SCAZ Board of Trustees, Acting General Secretary for National Employment Council for Water Institutions.
