CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF KINGDOM DELIVERY
“Between memory and hope”
When we celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2003, guest speaker Dr Simon Steer (then principal of Redcliffe College) spoke of DTC living between memory and hope. This has become even more true as we celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2023.
We have wonderful memories of what the Lord has done for us and through us in the past. In 1993 we started our humble operations with not much to our name except a building and a handful of students. But we had a clear purpose for existence and a big vision.
The Lord had brought DTC into existence to train Christian leaders of integrity. The corruption and abuse of power prevalent in our world make the need for godly leaders abundantly clear. So we put all our effort into producing leaders who fear God, who are trustworthy and who hate dishonest gain (Ex 18:21). Our mission is to equip Christians to be leaders of conviction, character and competence providing leadership in fields like church ministry, education and para-church organizations. .
We also started off with a vision to become a beacon of internationally recognized theological education and Christian service training. That would have sounded like an unrealistic dream back then. Yet we have become an internationally recognized institution offering courses that run from Certificate Level to Masters degree.
